Solar

You and I come from the sunfires.
That nuclear furnace sets spark to life;
Green alchemy turns spark to sweetness.
Taste the golden sunhoney on my lips.
Children of the moon are mirror and shadow,
Reflected radiance at the heart of a cold stone.
Children of the stars sing past lives
Up from dust and back down again.
We are original and inspired with carnelian hues.
We are sunrunners.
Our dreams are rich with honeyamber and light.
We will see them true.

Light shines to eyes and hearts.
Heat dries the curving clay under our hands.
The liquid warmth flows slowly down my skin.
We draw the solar discs and rays,
Dress our celebrations in glistening suncolors,
Pay our way with a single golden coin.
Here is our beauty, the rising Life.
Green silently envelops the naked dirt.
Our dreams are rich with earth and plants.
We will see them true.

Cities of metal and glass stifle Life.
Still the children of the sun insist;
Raising our arms to the showering gold,
We dare to dream differently.
Our lives will be rich with dark earth and amber light.
We will see them true.
